A vestige of the original early 18th-century château, the large kitchen features an imposing fireplace with a

bread oven inside.

In the small adjoining rooms, you'll find the souillarde where game was prepared, with a drain at the back for waste water and blood. In another small room, the vegetable garden would have been used to reheat dishes (especially soup) before moving on to the dining room next door.
